[Overview]:
This mountain towers over the icy frontier at the edge of the known world in the northern wastes, its peak enveloped in a harsh, eternal blizzard. Mount Ngranek is the home of a city of dwarves who once were slaves to a powerful Witch-King who ruled the north. The dwarves, along with the snow elves, were able to overthrow the tyrant and bring an end to his empire. While the snow elven tribes attempted to return to the nomadic, traditional ways of their people prior to the Witch-King's rule, the northern dwarves used much of the knowledge they had gained while enslaved to bring forth a new age and way of life in their grand city. Yet all is not peaceful in the city, as it has come under seige of late by a mysterious army of snow elves and perytons.
Directions
Upon arriving at Mount Ngranek you will first need to collect some items that you will need later in the zone. Find 4 peryton hides and 4 snow elf masks. In order to open the gate you need to kill the 3 cannon golems outside of it. Once they are dead kill Waergred of the Hoary Glades (The Haversack of the Northern Nomad) just inside the gate. Once inside the gates find Sjindonir (a sacred iron greatsword blessed by the heavens, 'Solitude', an antique iron breastplate lined with bearskin). Go back to the room Waergred was in and use Sjindonir's key to unlock the door up. Go south and kill Hoograk the Golem Marshall (a massive, white alphorn of ancient dragonhorn, 'The Septentrion Call'). You don't need to kill Sjindonir or Hoograk to continue on.
The password for the lift is written on one of the shields worn by the dwarven sentinels. Find the appropriate shield and go to the lift then say the password. This will take you to the citadel stronghold.
DOODRIGUS, FARHENDUCK, BUNGLEBORG, ZINGALOOF, SPUDINKA, MUZZLEWEN, tell
On this level you will find the mines. Find and kill Sifsdia the Ancilla (an antique, sacred adamantine war-spear known as, 'Reginleif', a long white cloak marked with the symbol of an arctic fox). Take the journal from the corpse and find Calpriki the Mineleader. Give the journal to Calpriki in exchange for a vial of quickfrost. You also trade the peryton hides and snow elf masks for ore. Go back up to the stronhold and find the keep, where Feldufar Thundersiege (The Girdle Meginjord, a magnificent warhammer crackling with lightning, 'Thundersiege') sits on his throne. Kill Feldufar and get the key from his corpse. Unlock the hidden compartment and get the hammer out. South of the lift you came down on is another lift, take this lift down to the engineering level.
North of the lift is Roignus the Archivist (a massive tome bound in white leather titled, 'The Revelations of Pnok'). He wants a book about artifact surveys, maybe you could bring it to him? Find the bookshelf on the south side and get the schematics for a cannon golem and a digger golem. Next go to Lujli the Armorer and have him create a torso and a head out of adamantine, and a second set out of mithril. Next go to Tignar the Weaponsmith. Have him create a mithril set of bipedal legs and a mithril set of cannon arms. Next have him create some adamantine drilling arms and arachnoid legs. Go to Sprugdun the Golemsmith and give him the schematics for the cannon golem followed by the mithril parts one at a time. Once he has created the cannon golem give him the schematics for the digger golem followed by the adamantine parts. Optionally on this level you may kill Lord Halvard the Artificer-Knight (a blessed whip of woven Empyrean silver named, 'Fiendflayer'). Now that you have your digger golem return to the lift and go up.
You may choose to kill Belmara the Ancilla (a long red cloak marked with the symbol of a bear), however it is not necessary. Find Galavus the Patriarch (The Lantern of the Exalted, a runed ivory ring adorned with sapphires) in the cathedral and kill him. Take the key from his corpse then put the hammer that was under Feldufar's throne inside the altar. This will open a trap door leading down. Then use Galavus's key to unlock the door in the room below. Hold the quickfrost in your hand and it will tell you where you need to have the golem dig. There are 4 holes, one of which is a DT. Draugr loads a chest with various items loading inside. Inside one of the holes is a box. Speak the word "secret" and a portal will open leading to Zhiviscant the Moliorigon (The Scourge-Rod of Zhiviscant, Strides of Koloss). Inside the final hole is a cave that leads to Helruna (Famine, a plated shield shaped like a thousand screaming mouths, 'Hunger'). Climb to the top of the mountain where you must kill her guardians, Ganglot and Ganglati. After they are dead you can enter her temple. BEWARE - Helruna will kill you if she notices you taking damage from the cold. She also curses, despairs, desecrates, hunts, and removes any spells you might cast on her fairly frequently.
