Hope is like a piece of string when youre drowning. It just isnt enough to get you out by itself.
Perrin Aybara, The Eye of the World
GATE NINE Sandkraits and Parrots roam this beach area of sorts. On the east side you will see Winslow the Castaway. Having gone mad from the effects of lab he will agro you on sight. Flee from him and abuse his hunt prog twards one or more parrots for amazing results. You can watch them fight it out or join in for free hits until a parrot dies. Loot his key after. Target a sandkrait for some noxious lab sand and return to the egress. Equip breathwater eq and head 4n. Enter the cave in this room to find a door, req WtC key. An odd figure named Namegi will ask for some sand in exchange for access to the next part of the gate. Completing his request leads you to a !3exit underwater area with a moray eel. Kill it to break open a hole in the wall of spikes to enter. Drop a coin marker and then seek out the Dream Miser. Defeat him to break the Dream and then target the vampire for some vile dirt. Once you have that go back to the marker and and go 2nsewnwn2ew3e to find Namegi, again asking for another seemingly useless item. After obliging him you will end up in the mountains. Sleep and wake up in each room in here till you wake up in a birds nest. Namegi wants the egg in this nest. Dispatching of the birds both young and old, take the path down and twards Namegi. Oblige to be lead right into the heart of the forest. Namegi has one last request before he can deliver on his promise of getting you out of this gate. An Ironwood Stag roams this area with sentient beings known as the Ancients that random proc nasty spells. Slay the stag for his item and prepare for the last fight. Fulfilling his last request actually makes him powerful enough to get you out of the gate - but not in a positive way either. His Fs and Des can be a pain but stay away from the Ancient ones and he will go down faster then Stag for sure. Loot the Soulstone afterwards.
